There has been an outbreak of Avian Influenza at a Leven poultry farm in February. The strain is adapted for birds and presents very low risks to human health.
Anyone finding dead wild waterfowl (Swans, geese or ducks) or other dead wild birds such as gulls or birds of prey are asked to report them directly to the DEFRA helpline on 03459 33 55 77 (option 7).
