A SEPA water Scarcity ‘Moderate’ Alert for the Eden Catchment is in place. With the weather forecasts for the coming week we are likely to see the river drop to its lowest level since records began. SEPA say that if the water scarcity level is raised one more level to ‘Significant, SEPA will ‘consider’ whether restrictions on abstractions are required’.
