Permit Information - 2025 Season

This year we are moving to a digital system for permits for both season tickets and day tickets. To start the process please complete membership registration either using any digital device - computer, laptop, tablet or phone. This will then take you to your member profile where you can purchase a season permit or day ticket.

Permit prices for the season are shown below. We have decided to retain our successful Free U14 permit.

***Any Under-14s accompanied by an adult season ticket holder can fish for FREE!***

Please observe and follow the rules & regulations of the river below at all times. A catch return by 15th November is required for all season and day ticket permits. (See rule 13).

ADULT (18 & OVER) Season Permit: £55

OAP (65 and Over) Season Permit: £40

JUNIOR (14-18) Season Permit: £10

JUNIOR (U14) Season Permit: FREE

DAY TICKETS: (15th February - 31st October) £15

Anyone booking 5 Day Tickets in the same name will receive a free season permit for remainder of the fishing season.

Rules and Regulations of the Association 

  1. The season will extend from 15th February to 31st October inclusive for salmon/sea trout and from 15th March to 6th October inclusive for brown trout.

  2. NO SUNDAY FISHING.

  3. Brown trout measuring less than 12" and ALL sea trout must be returned to the water. The bag limit is 1 brown trout per day. As the river is currently designated by Marine Scotland as CAT 3 mandatory catch & release for Salmon, until further notice all salmon caught must be returned to the river regardless of condition. From Season 2025 EAA will be following the Tay Board mandatory catch and release for sea trout.

  4. Only one rod is allowed by an angler and it must not be left unattended.

  5. Members and ticket holders shall avoid damaging crops, fences and trees, leave no litter, shut all gates, will no light fires and follow the country code.

  6. Parking will be in designated area only.

  7. The members and officials of the association have power to inspect the permit of every person fishing and to see the fish in their possession.

  8. The committee has the right to refuse any application for membership or visitor ticket.

  9. Members are expected to report all cases of suspected illegal fishing to the secretary or committee.

  10. Members are reminded that it is an offence to kill unclean or gravid fish.

  11. It is illegal to use as bait natural prawn or shrimp or any part thereof.

  12. Gaffing is strictly forbidden throughout the season.

  13. Details of all Salmon (Salmon >5lb), Grilse (Salmon <5lb), Sea trout (>1lb), Finnock (Sea Trout <1lb) and Brown Trout caught must be made either using the online form, or by returning the catch return form (available here) to the Secretary before the 15th NOVEMBER. Failure to do so may result in refusal of next year’s ticket.

  14. All Anglers must carry and use a disgorger.

  15. Bait fishing is by single hook only.

  16. To protect stocks, barbless hooks are recommended at all times.

  17. Climbing trees is forbidden.

EDEN ESTUARY LOCAL NATURE RESERVE - It is a condition when fishing the Estuary at Kincaple that all Anglers must comply with the Local Nature Reserve byelaws at all times.
